My name is Kristin Heidenberg, and I would like to introduce myself
as your Director. I have a Bachelors in Social Work from Salisbury University and an
associate in General Studies from the College of Southern Maryland. I have 12 years
of experience in the field, serving as a Teacher’s Assistant, Teacher,
and Administrator.
I am from Southern Maryland and enjoy reading, being outdoors, and
spending time with my family. I have two amazing, outgoing sons
and three wonderful bonus daughters.
I chose to work with children because it allows me to teach them life lessons, useful skills, and
important knowledge while building relationships. Every child is different, and working with them
gives me the opportunity and privilege to positively influence their development in a creative,
mindful way.
My favorite part of the day is when the children come to greet me or when I visit the classrooms
and play and interact with them. I love seeing firsthand how actively supporting families
empowers them to be involved in their child’s learning, leading to improved achievements and
increased confidence. A partnership between families and their child’s school has such a strong
impact on the child.
I’m very excited to meet every one and look forward to working with each of the families.
